اAmid the global battle against the COVID-19 pandemic, a joint effort between the European Union, UN-Habitat,
and the Al-Hub Wa Al-Salam Iraqi Globally Organization has emerged as a beacon of hope in Tel Afar District,
Iraq. With a focus on empowerment through awareness, this project has succeeded in imparting
critical information about COVID-19 to local communities. Through a comprehensive series of
awareness campaigns, more than 375 individuals across various sectors of Tel Afar
District have been equipped with the knowledge necessary to protect themselves and their
communities against the virus. The collaboration between international partners and local organizations
underscores the importance of unity in the face of a common threat. The project, aptly named
"Provision of COVID-19 messages reaching at least 10,000 people across Tel Afar District,
Ninewa Governorate, Iraq," has exceeded its initial goal by effectively reaching and positively
impacting its target audience. The provision of accurate information, guidelines, and instructions
on preventing the spread of COVID-19 has played a pivotal role in curbing the virus's progression
within the region. This initiative represents more than just a campaign; it symbolizes the strength
of collaboration and the commitment to safeguarding lives. As the campaign's impact reverberates
throughout Tel Afar District, it serves as a testament to the potential of international
partnerships and community engagement in the face of a global crisis.
