The Iraqi capital witnessed a significant training workshop organized by the Al Hub Wa Al Salam Organization, in collaboration with the Liberation Society for Development and the Norwegian People's Aid organization, generously funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This workshop provided an opportunity for representatives from 18 local organizations to enhance their capabilities and develop skills in the field of peacebuilding and countering violent extremism.
The workshop covered a diverse range of topics related to enhancing stability and well-being for conflict-affected populations, by strengthening capacities to address shared challenges and risks, and promoting understanding and cooperation among partner organizations.
Furthermore, the workshop highlighted the importance of countering violent extremism and gender-based violence, through the development of effective awareness and education strategies and programs. The exchange of experiences and knowledge among participants will undoubtedly contribute to enhancing peace and stability efforts in the region.
