The "Women's Voices First Project" is a noble initiative executed by the Iraqi Al Hub Wa Al Salam Organization with generous support from "Cordaid," aiming to achieve economic empowerment for women in Iraq. This project responds to the challenges that women face in their communities, working to redirect efforts toward enhancing women's role in the economy and providing new opportunities to improve their lives and those of their families.

This project was implemented in various regions of Iraq, including Al-Qaim District in Anbar Governorate and Fallujah District. A series of awareness sessions were conducted with the goal of transferring the knowledge and skills necessary for women's economic empowerment. These sessions targeted both women and men of various ages, including young individuals, to ensure a positive impact on society as a whole.

The sessions focus on several key areas:

  1. Economic Empowerment of Women: The sessions provide participants with a deep understanding of economic issues affecting women's lives and teach them how to develop their skills and abilities to contribute effectively to the labor market.

  2. Providing Employment and Income Opportunities: Efforts are directed toward providing livelihood opportunities by guiding women toward higher-level jobs and encouraging them to start their small businesses.

  3. Increasing Community Awareness: The sessions encourage participants to transfer their knowledge to their communities, where they can raise awareness about the importance of women's economic empowerment and promote women's active participation in the economy.

  4. Involving Community Stakeholders: The project involves individuals and authorities in local communities to ensure support for the efforts and provide the necessary opportunities for women.

Through this project, a positive impact has been achieved in the lives of women in Iraq, providing them with new opportunities for growth and advancement. The "Women's Voices First Project" reflects ongoing efforts to support women's economic empowerment and work toward achieving gender equality in Iraqi society.
